APPLIED COMPOSITES ENGINEERING (ACE) PARTNERS WITH ALTAVIAN TO QUALIFY AS A SUPPLIER FOR RAVEN AND PUMA AIRFRAMES

PR Web May 4, 2016 – While working under subcontract to Altavian under their prime contract W911QY-13-D-0074 with the PMUAS, Applied Composites Engineering manufactured complete composite structures that underwent testing by the US Army. “We are excited about how well the Raven composite parts performed and are ready to provide value as a competitive second source for these parts” said ACE’s CEO Leigh Sargent. “The Puma flight surfaces have now been fully qualified and we should have the fuselage qualified in the next couple months” continued Sargent.

“We are extremely pleased with ACE’s performance as a subcontractor on this challenging program” said Altavian CEO John Perry. “ACE has an impressive past performance in unmanned systems including manufacturing critical composite structures for General Atomics Unmanned Systems for more than a decade and providing AAI’s tooling for the new Shadow M2.” continued Perry.

“ACE has done a complete Unmanned Aircraft for a foreign customer and is working under subcontract to complete work on two additional PM UAS unmanned aircraft,” said Sargent. “We feel very comfortable in the design, development, and manufacturing of unmanned systems and we provide a lot of value to the US Army and our partners” Sargent added.
