Superior Abrasives, LLC, has finalized plans for a new, 100,000-square-foot manufacturing plant at the corner of Peters Pike and Fieldstone Way in Vandalia. The facility will be located within Stonequarry Crossings, on a 12-acre lot that Superior Abrasives has purchased from the City of Vandalia, Ohio, just minutes north of our current location in Dayton, Ohio.
On March 23rd, 2015, Superior Abrasives, LLC celebrated with a groundbreaking ceremony with local officials and employees. The two-story facility will feature a modern design with an all-glass exterior, giving it an open and welcoming appearance. The new building will also bring new opportunities for customers to visit and use the facility as a training center. Our new building will have a brand new training room with up-to-date technology as well as a state of the art testing lab that we can use for product training for our valued distributors and end users. Our new lab will have six testing centers equipped for product testing, training and development.
Superior Abrasives, LLC manufactures coated and non-woven abrasive products for the industrial metalworking industry, and its clients are located throughout the United States and in Canada, Mexico and Europe. Superior Abrasives, LLC has had continual growth for over 50 years. The company has enough land to add another 80,000 square foot as they continue to grow.
Superior employs 85 full-time workers and is planning to hire about 25 more over the next three years. Superior Abrasives, LLC plans on moving into the new building in early 2016.
