With a joint stand at this year's Power-Gen, two STEAG subsidiaries, STEAG Energy Services and STEAG Technischer Service, are presenting their expertise and skills in the operation, maintenance and optimization of power generating plants and systems.
The STEAG subsidiaries together will offer a wide range of specialized services for national and international customers at Power-Gen. They include the automation and optimization of energy-related processes, the maintenance and periodic in-service inspection of crane installations as well as the dismantling and packaging of power plants, or power plant components, for transport, and their re-erection at the new site. The service portfolio also encompasses efficient project management and IT solutions designed to optimize processes and costs.
These services are available not only to power plant operators in Germany: with a staff of over 2,000 worldwide, STEAG Energy Services offer their experience in the planning, operation and optimization of power generating systems in more than 40 countries. For example, with the help of STEAG Energy Services, Botswana, for the first time in its history, has succeeded in meeting its energy requirements with its own production facilities. And emissions in Turkey and China now also have been reduced thanks to our patented air pollution control system for coal-fired power plants. In addition, by making its flue gas NOx reduction system know-how available for the first time, SES is assisting China to improve the environmental compatibility of the country's coal-fired power plants.
In the two years since it was founded, STEAG Technischer Service has developed into a sought-after service provider in the energy field. Its customers include thermal power plants and waste incineration plants as well as industrial and municipal customers. Services for wind turbines also number among the company's activities.
