Achievements are at times hard to measure. We often only think about awards, degrees, and milestones when it comes to achieving something worth mentioning. However, it's important to realize we achieve greatness oft on a daily basis... regardless of whether or not it is recognized as such.

That said...

Education:
I've been in college for quite some time. To some degree, I wonder if the broad subject of my studies is somewhat due to my archaic beliefs. Often, the great philosophers would study science alongside poetry, history alongside art, and business alongside acting. We are a highly specialized society, but because of this we narrow our scope. That said... here are a few areas of study I've been fortunate enough to have delved into: Philosophy, English, Law, Psychology, Music, and Computer Science.

Work:
How many great achievements you have in the work place are often determined by the number of opportunities one is given. I've worked at a few different companies, but the one which gave me the most opportunity to grow was actually Bed Bath and Beyond. While I was by no means required to know the products, I made it a personal goal to not only know the basic functions of near every product sold in stores, but also to have relationships with the companies providing the products and to understand their advantages and weaknesses. Through this self initiative and an opportunity given to me by my store manager, I became the one of the store's best Bridal Consultants. I actually took the title of the store's top Bridal Consultant and my registry numbers (Items Registered, Items Purchased, Over All Income from Registry, Possible Income) were unmatched for the last 16 months before I left the company. On average, I brought the company in approximately $3,000 per couple assisted. I consider this a personal achievement not because of the monetary value, but because it represents the service I provided to the couple.

Personal:
I have a ton of personal achievements, (aside from work and education), I set in place for myself. Currently I'm learning how to type on a Dorvak keyboard layout and am planning on becoming fully ambidextrous by summer 2014.
