NY NOW® Summer 2017

Latest in Japanese innovative merchandise to be showcased at world’s premier gift show

New York, NY, August 11, 2017 -- JETRO, Japan External Trade Organization, is pleased to announce its participation for the 22nd time since 2005 at NY NOW®, the Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift (formerly New York International Gift Fair®), to be held August 20 - 23, 2017 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.  For the purpose of promoting Japanese high-quality lifestyle products to the U.S. market, the Japan Pavilion will showcase 27 companies including 13 new participants:

3462 Nawrap

These dishcloths are infused with binchotan, a white oak charcoal that makes them naturally antimicrobial and ant-odor.

3464 MATSUNOYA

Created at a small factory by artisans using natural materials, these daily goods are easy-to-use and practical, at reasonable prices.

An all-natural humidifier, MAST adds moisture and the subtle fragrance of cypress through natural evaporation, without electricity or noise.

Aprons, kitchen cloths, bags and more are expertly woven using fresh spring water in our mill located in the renowned textile production area at the foot of Mt. Fuji.

Clip Family is a new type of paperclip or bookmark made from eco-friendly, strong, natural fiber paper. There are various designs, including Cat, Dog, Bear, Rabbit, Monkey, Panda, Man and Girl.

Inspired by an encounter with RINKUL, a woodworker in Hokkaido, these innovative chopsticks from a longtime manufacturer are made with two kinds of wood and can be used in two ways. A chopstick rest pops out with one touch.
