Successful presentation of the Spike Coaster at the EAS in Barcelona
The Maurer Rides booth at the EAS Expo in Barcelona was constantly full.
The seat model of the new interactive Spike® Coaster with functional cockpit instruments and selectable vehicle sounds was met with great interest. Also
on display were a 1:6 model of the original Spike vehicle as well as the layout model of the standard Spike® Coaster "Duelling Dragster". From Nov 15-18, 2016, Maurer will be presenting the Spike® system at the IAAPA in Orlando too.
Initial test runs with the Sky Dragster at the Allgäu Skyline Park
The TEA event (Themed Entertainment Association) "Behind the Scenes" took place on September 27th at the Allgäu Skyline Park with the inaugural demonstration of the new Spike® "Sky Dragster". Initial test runs with accelerations of 1.2 g were possible which really impressed the participants. Additional demonstrations are planned during the startup and test phase in the next few weeks. The ride will be opening for the next season in April 2017.
Spike.de optimized for mobile devices
The website www.Spike.de presents the Spike® system and its technology. It went live punctually for the start of the EAS in Barcelona and is now also available online in a version optimized for mobile devices. The web platform “Spikerace.com”, which provides a wide variety of information to end users and parks visitors, will also be available soon.
Maurer SE
Maurer AG will be transformed into a European incorporated company (Societas Europaea), and called Maurer SE in future. By doing so, the existing European subsidiaries will be institutionally integrated into the group of companies. Mr. Jörg Beutler (in photo) will be the new Chairman of the Board of Directors as well as CEO of the Maurer SE, together with Dr. Braun. In addition, Mr. Beutler is also CEO of the companies Maurer Rides GmbH, which is responsible for the amusement rides division within the Maurer Group and BTS (Beutler Transport Systeme GmbH), an engineering company specializing in the development of innovative transportation solutions such as the Spike® system and is also responsible for customer service and spare parts supply for Maurer systems.
