In Room 307 starting at 10:30, hear from Robert E. (Bob) Tarleton, Director, MILSATCOM Directorate, Space and Missile Systems Center, Air Force Space Command, as he discusses the Air Force MILSATCOM Directorate and scope, current priorities, and plans for the future. The Directorate is experiencing enormous growth as they continue to execute current programs, prepare the next generation of programs, and transform the organization for the larger workload assigned to MILSATCOM. You'll hear an explanation of the MILSATCOM Directorate's priorities, the status of current programs including their recent and upcoming launches; their development successes and challenges, and the sustainment of currently deployed systems. Also included will be discussion about the next generation of MILSATCOM programs being stood up to replace the current systems with initial launches expected in the mid and late 2020s. The Commercial Satellite pathfinder and pilot programs will also be covered, with discussion on how they are attempting to reduce user costs dramatically while expanding their flexibility and effectiveness for US and International customers.
